WNT uses Tooling Show to focus attention on productivity gains

As one of the first companies to sign up for the new Tooling Show WNT (UK) is looking forward with great anticipation to the event, which takes place alongside the Subcon show at the NEC on 7 – 9 June.

“Exhibitions have been very successful for WNT (UK) in recent years and now that we have a dedicated show for cutting tool technology this should help to focus attention on the significant part that tooling plays in improving productivity. The fact that The Tooling Show is co-located with Subcon was another big factor in our decision to exhibit as the sub-contract manufacturing sector is central to our business philosophy,” says Tony Pennington, Managing Director, WNT (UK).

WNT (UK) will highlight many new developments on its stand and the timing of the show coincides with the arrival of its latest 2000 page catalogue, which will feature over 2000 new products. Among the products on show will be the Dragonskin range of indexable inserts, a new range of HSK-T toolholders, new drilling systems, both indexable and solid carbide, 2011-07 milling inserts, and the astounding HCX1125 turning inserts, which have taken the world of turning by storm.

“HCX1125 has been our star performer with tool life in excess of 10 times that previously achieved by steel turning grades. In working with WNT customers have dramatically improved productivity by switching to this new grade of turning insert, but it is only one of many new developments that they will be able to discuss with our technical sales staff at The Tooling Show in June,” says Tony Pennington.
